How do I toggle between having gridlines on/off on my screen in my workbook. (Not while printing)

Thanks

One way:

Check/uncheck the Preferences/Gridlines checkbox.

Another:

Unlike WinXL, with MacXL, you can assign your own keyboard shortcuts to
commands. Try:

Tools/Customize Keyboard/All Commands/Toggle Grid

enter your preferred shortcut in the "Press new shortcut key" box, and
click Add.

Thanks, I had someone work on the file in Lotus and for some reason when I toggle the grid lines back now it doesn't add them back...

The gridlines are probably there but perhaps they've been "camouflaged" --
have a look in Excel> Preferences> View to see it the Color has been set to
something other than Automatic.

Hi,

Another possibility is that the Lotus user formatted the borders to while.
If the previous suggests don't work try selecting the entire sheet and
changing the border color to none.
