I'd like to hear from people who are using Groove 2007 and Windows
SharePoint Services 2007 integration features.

1. What do you think of them?

2. Scenarios where you're make good use of them

3. Scenarios where they didn't fit/work well

Thanks,

Michael.

Dear Michael,

I have tested it for several months. Based on my expierience, I think it has
been optimized comparing with its previous version. For example, the speed
for sync functionality has been faster than before and also this
functionality has been bulit in the workspace as a tool and in Groove 3.1. If
you want to use this functionality, you should re-create a new workspace.

If you want to know further information about it, you can refer to this link

Thanks

Hi,

SharePoint is a centralized online data sharing, accessing system. On the
other hand, Groove is a distributed online/offline system. The intergration
of them give you the benifit of both of them.

Although you may have the ability to access the information you want on
every time every where, the network speed and architecture (internet,
internal, external) may affect data sychornizing efficiency.

Sharing document type files such as doc, ppt, xls are supported very well,
but it's not recommanded to use it for sychronizing large files such as pst,
music or video data.

Hi Michael -

Its good to see you active here and in the Groove developer spaces again.

We're doing some work on making it easy to integrate Groove Forms and
Sharepoint via our Bambuco scripting engine for Groove.

Right now there's no info about the Sharepoint side on the web site but
we're aiming to make it as easy to work with Sharepoint as we have made it to
work with Groove.

See http://www.infopatterns.com/products/ToucanBambuco.aspx for an overview.
