Groove 2007 Manager Installed on SQL Named Instance

Ed Knapp SAIC

Has anyone successfully installed Groove 2007 Manager using a back-end SQL
named instance datebase. I am trying to do this but the installation fails
when trying to run EXEC Gdb_Administrator_Create. The sql account has full
administrative rights.

No - I came across this same problem on another site.
GMS only supports installation on the default instance of SQL Server 2005.

In the case I had, the SQL server was only using named instances, and did
not have a default instance. We had to go back SQL server setup and create a
default instance before we could get Groove manager to install OK.

This is probably due to backwards compatibility to SQL 2000 which did not
have named instances ...
