Groove 3.1 invites Groove 2007

I have users with Groove 3.1 who would like to invite Groove 2007 users to
join a workspace. They try to accept and get a message that 2007 users can
not view 3.1 workspaces. Are their any workarounds?

Are you sure the message is cannot view 3.1 workspaces, or cannot add tools
to 3.1 workspaces. I am running Groove 2007 and have been able to accept
space invitations from Groove 3.1 users. The caveats are:

a) Groove 2007 users cannot add tools to the Groove 3.1 workspace
b) Any third party tools in the workspace (like TeamDirection Project) will
not be visible to the Groove 2007 user.
