Groove and sharepoint

Hi,

I'm trying to sync documents between groove and sharepoint.

I've created a new workspace and then added the sharepoints files tool to
the workspace. A new window appears and I click on setup - I then get a
window " select a document library or folder" which is looking for a url.

But what do I put in the url box? I've tried the sharepoint server url (I'm
using a hosting site) and tried the path to a folder on my c drive but all I
get is please select a sharepoint document library or a folder within a
document library.

Could someone tell me please what I'm supposed to do as this doesn't make
sense.

Thanks

Tom

Hi Tom -

I don't have a copy of SharePoint in front of me to confirm it, but the help
says "Note: Entering or pasting in a SharePoint site URL in the Address box
is NOT recommended. However, it is possible to use a pasted URL if you edit
it so that it contains only the sections required for referencing the site.
For example: http:\\servername.com\sites\mysitename".

Hope this is helps to lift some of that confusion!

Hi Tom,

Have you tried the solution "GrooveIT! for Microsoft Office SharePoint"?

I am sure that it would make life a lot easier for Groove users who need
to take SharePoint documents offline.

In fact, it allows you to take the document library offline in just a
few clicks, while browsing the SharePoint site.

Please note that it also works fine with Microsoft Online Services.

For more information and a free trial download: http://www.grooveit.biz/

How to proceed:
1) Download and install the software (works with Internet Explorer 6 and
later)
2) Register online for a free trial license (button "TRY")
3) Activate GrooveIT! (GrooveIT! button in Internet Explorer)by entering
the obtained license key

Note that you can only click the GrooveIT! for Sharepoint button when
you are browsing a SharePoint document library. If not the button is
grayed out.

Hope this is of any use to you :)

Best regards,
Jan
