Groove Community

If Groove has been going for about 6 years or more. Where is the groove
community? I have been trying to find locations on the web and everything
seems to date back to 2002 early 2005.

This software is designed for collaboration but there seems to be none
amoung the community. This discussion group is ok but not much happening
online. Is anyone interested in setting up a community workspace?

Hi Marc -

Well, there /is/ a community, kinda, based around the old Groove Partner
program. Mostly it's 'invitation only' though. Also, there was the old
Groove.net support forums which had a few regular posters.

Do we need a community space? I don't know - one question I always ask
when people propose using Groove for something is "where is the
collaboration?". If there isn't any then Groove isn't a good fit. My
personal view is that a community workspace won't work. If a space has
more than a few dozen active members it drags.

Do we need a community _resource_? I think so, yes. I started
http://GrooveForms.com as a first step. Today it just has half a dozen
or so FAQ items, but that can be changed very easily. Our new web
development person will be adding some new features (search, blogs,
wiki) over the next month or so.// *Marc *- would you be interested in
being a site moderator?

Marc -
In addition to Groove Partners space(s) - there's a fairly active Groove
Developer 206 Space. It has ~90 members from the world over and is more
technically-oriented in content. You can pick up an invitation at
GotDotNet - http://tinyurl.com/mtgzw

There are several other public spaces - it all depends upon your interests.
