Hi, can someone tell me some details on the Groove database:

1. what type of database does Groove use
2. where is it stored
3. can it be exported or extracted and moved to another location...how?

Thanks

Hi EH -

Groove's database is a proprietary format, optimised for the program.

Its location varies - its on your hard drive somewhere but different
versions of Groove install into different folders.

You can extract information manually*, but once you install Groove you
cannot move the data folder without un-installing Groove and removing your
data. Fortunately this is not as big a job as it sounds, provided you have a
spare PC to hand.

Hope this helps.

On Windows XP, Groove 12 stores your information here:

C:\Documents and Settings\<YOUR WINDOWS USER NAME>\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Office\groove

It may vary on other operating systems.

The rest of my answers are still accurate :)
