Groove Enterprise services

Marc Dimmick

I am now starting to use the enterprise services. Are there anyone else out
there using this service?

What I am trying to find out is if a manage is deleted from a workspace at
the moment the only option I can see is

create new workspace
transfer content of old workspace
reinvite everyone from the old workspace
email everyone to delete the old workspace.

Is there anyway of adding a manager to a workspace using one of the server
options?

Hi Marc,

Do you mean youa re using the Enterprise Services Manager for Groove 2007?
If it is the case, i'm afraid that we can not set the members' role in
workspaces from Enterprise Services Manager.

If the only Manager of a workspace leaves the space, no one can perform
actions restricted to the Role of Manager. Because only a Manager can change
a member's role, no one can be assigned the role of Manager in the existing
workspace.

If a workspace has no current members with the role of Manager, please
perform the following steps. These steps should be performed by a member of
the space you wish to be a Manager:

1. In the Workspaces listing, right-click the workspace and select Duplicate
Workspace. This will create an exact duplicate, data and all, of the space,
with the name "Copy of spacename", with you as the only member and with the
role of Manager.

2. Invite the members of the original workspace to the new one. To prevent a
recurrence of the problem, invite at least one other member as a Manager.

3. All the workspace members must then delete their copy of the original
workspace as soon as they have received the new workspace.

4. After all members have deleted the original workspace, you may rename the
new version to the original name.

5. Assuming you are unsure of the original creation information for a
workspace and if you are not sure if the space is the original or a copy:

6. Right-click the space, click and then examine the values for Created by
and Created on.

Hope the information above addressed your concerns.
