Hi all,
I work in Brazil and we have few information of the Groove Server here.
I need for HELP.
I installed grove server and grove relay. But my groove relay shows the
following message:

"WARNING: DeviceUserRegistration: User layer message verification failed for
peer (201.6.156.40:43979) user
(grooveAccount://mm8j5krmibxtsq74rmxwr4rx22j9ehw56akcag2@) on device
(dpp:///v99d8dzbgakay9sdrtar3w2grj58vgvs796tgpa)"

"WARN Security: Error PreauthRequired and no User ID found in users
database , user (03B0A251-2428-441E-8D91-E1DAAB495576), account
(grooveAccount://mm8j5krmibxtsq74rmxwr4rx22j9ehw56akcag2@)"

Therefore the Clients external do not obtain to communicate themself.
Clients internal and external present the message:

"Groove was unable to register relay grooverelay.agilesolutions.com for
account Rodrigo Medeiros"

thanks

Hi Rodrigo

It looks like problem between the relay and the manager.
I can telnet your grooverelay.agilesolutions.com relay server onm port 2492
so that looks good.
Did you exchange the Relay.ID to the manager and did you put the Device
management key from the manager into the Relay?

Could you do the following on the relay for me:
shut down the relay service.

Then open up an command prompt. go to Groove relay application directory in
Program Files.
when you are in that directory type: "relay.exe -d"
Let it run for a minute. please sent me the content that is on screen.
I can then help you further.

What you must also check on your relay server. open op control panel and
look for the Groove Relay Item.
There you will see your management server stated. Check if it there.

Could you please reply with these outcomes.

see ya

Hi Jeroen,
I do not obtain to external make the telnet in port 2492 of this server(not
connect), but when he will be thus it would not have to use port 80?
Yes, I exchange the Relay.ID to the manager and did you put the Device
management key from the manager into the Relay... I copied and only executed
the certificate.

I verified in the control panel and there he appears the server of Groove to
manager in SOAP Tab.
It follows below the test that it requested

Hi Rodrigo,

It seems you have Pre-Authentication enabled on the Groove Relay server.
This only works if all the Groove devices are managed by the management
server (this requires putting a registry key into the registry of the client
computer BEFORE the user tries to start to use Groove). Because this is not
a common scenario, organizations disable this option - it's even the default
option in Groove 2007.

To disable Pre-Authentication, go to your Relay server --> Control Panel -->
Groove Relay --> Security tab
Uncheck "Require Pre-Authentication for Registration (via Groove Manager)".

Note that this does not negatively impact Groove security. Encryption etc.
will still be used.

Regards,

Kevin Reeuwijk
