Groove refuses to download a workspace onto second computer

I have a pretty large workspace I use on one computer (about 1.5 Gb in size).
I added my account to a second computer and, although Groove says it's
downloading the workspace, no incoming or outgoing packets are being sent --
Groove just sits there telling me it's downloading the workspace. Starting
and stopping the download had no effect.

Has anyone else seen this problem? Is there some way to kick Groove into
gear so it downloads the workspace onto the second computer?

Much appreciated.

First, Groove must be active on both computers, and they must be able to
connect to each other.

Second, is 1.5 GB the size listed in the Workspace Properties? A Groove
workspace can contain be quite a lot bigger than you expect, especially if
there are unsynchronized changes. Groove will not send a workspace to a new
endpoint if it is larger than 2 GB.

Right-click on the workspace and choose Properties to see its current size
in Groove. If it is more than 2GB, but you know the workspace has less than
2GB of data, you may be able to reduce its current size by trying the
suggestions in the following KB article:

"How to recover disk space that is used by a Groove workspace"

I hope this helps!

Much thanks for the information. I have a feeling that there were several
problems preventing the sync from working correctly. By the way, yes,
multiple computers were online while I was trying to do the sync. Here's some
additional information:

--The Groovespaces were indeed very large, probably around 1.5 Gb, though no
error messages were displayed.
--The Groovespaces were also synched with a Sharepoint site. During the sync
process with Sharepoint, conflict error messages were logged. I have a
feeling that Groove prevents inter-computer synchs from occurring if there
are errors with a Groove to Sharepoint synch. This makes sense because Groove
wouldn't know if it had the correct files in the Groovespace and,
consequently, is doing me a backhand favor by not going through with the sync.

This eventually led to another problem -- I was never able to do a Groove to
Sharepoint synch without conflict errors from appearing. Even when I manually
copied files to ensure perfect sync between Groove and Sharepoint, Groove
would find something to complain about.

Unfortunately, I gave up the ghost and decided to roll over and go back to
Sharepoint for the whole thing. My only alternative would have been to split
my Groovespace into several smaller spaces. My colleagues would have squawked
about having to subscribe to multiple spaces for a single project.

My thanks again for your assistance.

yep I am having exactly the same proble, I have tried adding accepting via
email but the accptance just sits there waiting to be sent, I have also tried
loading the workspace from a copied file, again the workspace says it's
downloading but nothing actually happens.

I am using my laptop on a wireless network but have tried from other
locations as well using blue cable and wireless.

any fix to this would be very much appreciated.

Cheers!
