Is there a compare and contrast between these two products? They seem to be
very similar.

Thanks,

Brett

While at first glance you could be forgiven for thinking this; in reality to
two products are worlds apart but are integrated.

Office Communicator is a powerfull Enterprise Instant Messaging Tool (IM)
which allows users on-line to see presence, start chat sessions, start live
meetings and make VoIP calls via telepohons or computers.

Groove is a cross-firewall, ad-hoc collaboration suite that allows users to
access there data off-line and build samrt collaboration applications.

Thanks Markry. Does that mean that Communicator doesn't have the file sharing
functionality of Groove?
Also, what do you mean by integrated? Can Groove users see and chat with
Communicator users or vice versa?

Thanks,

Brett

If you use both Communicator and Groove, your Communicator account is
detected by Groove. (The 2 identities are linked). Then, you can
initiate a Communicator call from Groove (You've got a menu entry when
you right-click on a Groove contact to do that)
