Groove vs. One Note

I'm having a hard time getting through my thick skull the difference between
Groove and One Note (in the Office 2007 system.)

From the Microsoft Office website, it looks like both applications can be
used to store different types of data files in one place, and then to share
those data files with team members. So what is the difference between Groove
and One Note?

For that matter, how is either of those applications an improvement on
storing files in a shared folder (or a library in Windows 7)?
