Group By and Grouping

Both provide a way to group by.

But at least in previous versions of Access, you had to use the Grouping in
reports to get grouping in reports ... the Group By you set in your query
did not migrate to the report.

(just one person's experience)

Are the Group By clause in queries and Grouping in reports related?

Thanks!

Only in that they both perform the same basic function.

A Report's Sorting and Grouping dialog is more powerful than the Group By in a
Query in that you can use it to create multiple levels of subtotals on a
Report, with group headers and footers; do note that a Report can be based on
a Totals query but it will ignore the sort order specified in the query, and
require that you specify it in the report's Sorting and Grouping.

You're nothing but a stalking bitch. You did not know this and you dare to
criticise.

So now we know that you:
1) continually abuse the public news groups by attempting to sell your
"services"
2) your "services" are based on a limited knowledge of queries and reporting
3) you have a potty mouth
4) you can't read

Both false statements of course, plus Gina's "tricks and tips" are there in
all of their splendour and not "coming soon" as yours have been for years.
