Group by Custom Field Order

Is there a way to group by "order" or "row number" in the custom attributes
of a custom field? I am only able to group by a field and assign
ascending/descending order and would like to my group follow the order I have
in the custom attributes section.

Short of creating a new text field or modifying my value descriptions to
include 1-2-3, I'm at a loss.

I don't completely understand your question but you can group by a custom
field and specify ascending or descending. Just go to Project - Group By -
More Groups - New and choose the custom field.

If this isn't what you are looking for, an example would help.

I understand you can group by a custom field and specify ascending/descending
order. What I'm looking for is can you define an order other than
ascending/descending.

For example, I have a custom field named Site. I would like to group tasks
in the following order:

Philadelphia
Cincinnati
Atlanta
Los Angeles
Denver

This is the same order that I have the pull down menu in and I'm curious to
know if you can specify the pull down menu order or any other (besides
ascending/descending).
