Group Calendaring

I am creating a Group Calendar to notify different members of my department
of events/deadlines. I want them to be able to have the reminders in their
calendar as well so they can be given reminders. I know they can click and
drag from the public folder into their own person folder but the recurrences
don't transfer over. If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate
it. My IT department hasn't helped!
