Group Contacts and Calendar Missing/Unacessable

I have lost all my group contacts and my group calendar after upgrading from
Office 2003 to 2007 on my desktop. However I have no problems veiwing group
contacts or group calendar from my co-workers laptop who got the exact same
upgrade.

When I try to open a shared contact group or shared calendar from my desktop
I have to ask for permission from the company admin account which is our
server, no one should be locked out of it.

Since I run my email through an exchange server MS Support wont help me
unless I fork over even more money. I mean seriously I just spent a ton of
money on an upgrade and the upgrade has caused me more frustration than ever.
The only reason I upgraded was to have full intergration between MS Office
Suite and MS Projects 2007.

I've already installed the performance patch for Outlook, this has not
resolved this issue.

What kind of group contacts and group calendar are these? Outlook 2007 can share data in several ways.

I finally got access to them, after the boss upgraded I was able to locate
them. I had to navigate through the folder list one time then they appeared
as they used to in the 2003 version, under the Calendar and Contacts Tabs
respectivly.

Boy am I glad this didnt happen on everyone elses computer when the update
went down or my goose would have been cooked.

To elighten me please help me understand the different ways Outlook shares
data, at your convienence.

Thanks Sue.

Outlook 2007 can share Exchange mailbox and public folder calendars, SharePoint lists, Internet calendars (webcal), and calendars transmitted as iCalendar.

I recently, well today, installed MS Office - not 2007 but an older verison onto my aunt's computer. When she went to check her e-mail (she uses Outlook), all of her contacts were gone. I don't know how to retrive them and I feel terrible if they are lost forever. I was wondering if someone could help me - do I have to uninstall Office? Or something else? I'm really in a rut and have no clue what to do, so help would be greatly appreciated!

If she used Outlook already, why did you reinstall it? Were you giving her
a newer version? Naturally you made a backup of her Outlook data before
beginning, correct?

I suspect you created a new mail profile and possibly a new PST in the
installation procedure. Configure the new mail profile to reference the old
PST. See
