Group Edit Mode ???

I was working in an Excel XP spreadsheet when Windows XP
crashed. Now, the spreadsheet says it is in "Group Edit
Mode" and I can't run Solver.

1. What the heck is group edit mode?

2. How do I make it disappear?

Are all or some of the sheet tabs selected? Try right clicking on one and
selecting 'ungroup'
