Group email distribution in Outlook 2007

I can send emails to individuals in my contact list but when I try to send
from a Distribution list the message never leaves the Outbox.
I am extremely frustrated with this as you can imagine. I have checked the
actual email addresses within the distribution list and they are correct but
still nothing ever leaves the Outbox.
If I try sending from Incredimail, for example, again the message does not
leave the Outbox but I have a little more information in that this programme
shows an error message that says "Server error code 4308". I have tried to
find some useable information about the code but without any luck.

Any help that can be given to solve my problem would be most gratefully
received. I have a friend who uses exactly the same distribution list from
Outlook and who has no problems whatsoever.

Distribution lists are not robust - why not try using Categories instead?

I have not tried this and am not sure how I could pick up a mailing list
from the Category list so would be grateful if you would give me further
advice.

I know how to select the category required but I cannot see how I can send
mail when I have the selection made.

Any, and more help, would be appreciated.

All you need to do is to select the Category and do Actions-Create-New
Message to Contact.
