Group Info in Report Footer from Report Details

Maurita

I am generating a report from a query that works fine. The problem I
am having is that the information needs to be grouped differently in
the footer. In the report, there are system categories (Repack1,
Repack 2), and then under each system are other categories (Downtime,
RunTime, Pounds, ActHours). In the footer, I need each Downtime (i.e.
Productive, Changeover) to be totalled up individually by name.

Grouping in report is:
Repack 1
Productive RunTime .50 ActHrs 2.0 Pounds 1,200
Changeover RunTime .25 ActHrs 1.5 Pounds 1,000

I NEED grouping in the footer to total ALL "Productive" RunTime,
ActHrs, Pounds, for the entire report, which include Repack1 and
Repack2 totals.

Please, lead me in the correct direction in which to go to get this
done. I am at a loss as to how to handle this.

Thank you so very much.

Hi Maurita,

If you need the data broken down a particular way for your report, then
grouped differently in the footer, have you considered having a subreport
(after your normal report data) that displays the totals grouped as you would
like to see them?

Damian.

Damian,

Thanks, I have tried your suggestion, and it works to an extent. The
subreport works great until it's in the report, then it drops records.
I have been trying to research the site to find a solution, but have
yet to find one. Can you help.

Also, since I will be using code for date selection in the main form,
will the subform still work?

Thank you.

Maurita
