Group Policy Settings

Hello,
Where can I find detailed explainations on settings in GPO's. In perticular
I'm looking for explainations on autoarchive settings & retention settings on
a windows 2003 server running exchange 2003, group policy/user
configuration/ms office outlook 2003/tools|options/other/autoarchive
The explain tab is empty & utilizing the question mark in the upper right
corner provides know information.
In this case I want to know what the "Clean out items older than ?" actually
does.
I've had this problem with other GPO's in the past where the explain tabe
provides know information.

Please help.
