Hi,
I have this recordset with 16 records.
First is name
Second is date
In this recordset I have 2 different date-values

I want to get a new page when there is a new date...

When I try it with sort/group submenu the name-fields are sorted too and
I don't get a new page... I absolutly don't want the names to be sorted.

What to do?
Thanks

It shouldn't be difficult to set your first sorting and grouping level to
your date field. You can set group header or footer properties to force new
page before or after.

BTW: If your field names are actually Name and Date, consider changing them
to names that are the names of properties or a function.

Apparently I don't understand your table structure and data. Can you provide
some additional information and some clue as to why you would get 1 name per
page if you don't do any sorting or grouping by name?

the report is based upon a query that is based upon a table
The structure of the table is:
date
naam
oefening

I have 15 records and 2 different dates
In the query I set the date field to be sorted

Then I create a report with
date as page heading
other fields in detail

When I click on detail for proerties I can choose "new page" after of
befor section
I don't have the choise in details

All I want is to get all records with the same date field on one page
NO alphabetic order for the naam-field (name)

Hope this makes sence

Don't waste your time attempting to sort the query. Perform all of your
sorting and grouping with the Sorting and Grouping dialog. From the
statements in your first posting, I thought this is what you had done.

I did what you suggested...
Nothing changes
I based my report on the table itself
created a report
sorted it on date
(in the query I sorted the table on 4 fields, now only one)
Names are sorted too and I can't get a report with one page a day...

This seems to be so basic but I can't find a solution (and it's sooooo
urgent!!)

Thanks for your kind help
