GROUPING and Displaying Rolled Up milestones

If I use normal Summary Bars and tasks/milestones together with the Yes/No
option in the field - "Rollup", I have a lot of flexibility over which
milestones are displayed on the differeing levels of summary bars.

If I use Grouping instead of normal summary bars, I seem to have less
flexibility ie I can either display All milestones on every Grouped Summary
Bar or none at all ie the Yes/No option in the field - "Rollup" does not give
me any control and in fact is not editable for Grouped Summary Bars - is this
correct or am I doing something wrong? is there another way round this?

There is probably more than one solution, here is one that may help:
Instead of the rollup field, you could use flag fields such as Flag1. Keep
in mind that Flag1 in the Gantt Chart (A Task Field) is not the same as a
Flag1 in the Resource Views (Resource Fields).

To get the transfer the data concerning Flags from one view to the other,
you would need to create a Macro. Information is available at
http://www.mvps.org/Project/faqs.htm Read FAQ #37 keeping in mind that you
would need to replace a.text1=t.text1 withi a.Flag1=t.Flag1. You can also
pile them up and change multiple field names with additional assignment
statements.

The drawback is you have to run the Macro every time you make a change to
the state of a Flag1.

You will now be able to apply filters for Flag1 in all views regardless of
your Customized Grouping settings.

sorry I am not really looking to filter just to be able to control less
rolled up milestone symbols on Group summary bars?
