Grouping by "Flag Status" THEN "Date", with proper date groups

David

This problem is a little complicated, but hopefully one that someone can help
me with.

If you group your inbox by "Date", it defaults to grouping the e-mails into
"Today", "Yesterday", "Earlier This Week", etc and this is the way I want it
to work, however, I want my e-mails to be grouped by flag status first, THEN
by date. The problem is, if "Date" is not the primary grouping field, then it
groups by the exact date and time the message arrvied, that is, it groups it
to the minute it arrvied, not the day.

For example, if a message arrived on the 24th of May at 5:14pm (yesterday),
then it would ordinarily be grouped under the "Yesterday" group. It instead
gets grouped under "24th May, 2009, 5:14pm" and is obviously then the only
e-mail in that group.

FYI, sorting by flag status is not the issue here, only sorting by date as
the secondary field.

If anyone has encountered this problem and founda solution or workaround,
I'd like to here about it!

You cannot group by date (the "Today", "Yesterday", etc. grouping) and flag
status simultaneously. If you try, Outlook complains.
