Grouping clip are with drawings

I use Word 2003 to create basic front covers for in-house booklets etc. I use
a combination of drawn shapes, text boxes and clip art. When I insert clip
art I can't move it to where I want it to go with the mouse, so have to use
tabs for horizontal & paragraph for vertical. Also, if I try to GROUP what
I've created in order to re-size the whole thing the clip art gets ignored.
So, is there a way in WORD to:
1) insert clip art so that it can be moved and placed with the mouse?
2) grouping all objects into one for re-sizing?
I've looked at all the 'help' I can find, but can't find an answer. Is it
just that WORD won't do what I want it to do?

You have the default text wrapping for inserted graphics set to "in line with
text", which acts like a single large character. When the clip art is selected,
the Picture toolbar should be visible (or you can click View > Toolbars >
Picture); click the Text Wrapping button there and choose Square or Top and
Bottom. To change the default, go to Tools > Options > Edit and change the
"Insert/paste pictures as" dropdown to Square or Top and Bottom.
2) grouping all objects into one for re-sizing?

Display the Drawing toolbar. Click the Select Objects button (the big white
arrow). Hold the Ctrl key while you click each of the objects in turn until
you've selected all the ones you want to group. Then right-click any one of the
objects and choose Grouping > Group.

Unfortunately, Help is written in such a way that you have to know what you want
before you can find any help about it.
