grouping objects

I've used an autoshape (rounded rectangle) on top of a table to create
rounded corners on my little table. Now I want to move them together. Can I
and how do I group them? I would like to copy / move them to another
document.

It would be easier to insert the table inside the autoshape: Cut the
table. Right-click the autoshape and choose Add Text from the context
menu. Paste the table in.

Note, however, that this puts the table in the drawing layer; table
contents won't be "visible" to Word for the purpose of creating tables
of contents or indexes.
