Grouping Pictures in Word 2002

I had a client call because she was unable to get one
picture grouped with some others. I hate to be stupid,
but I can't even find out how to group any objects. I saw
reference to grouped objects in Word 2002 help, but not
how to and I couldn't find anything in the knowledge
base. Can someone first tell me where to go to find out
how to group objects in Word 2002? And some possible
solutions if one doesn't group? I realize that the second
may not be possible, because I don't have much
information like errors etc... but I think if I have the
first part I might be able to figure the rest out.

Thanks!
Carla

In recent Word versions there´s a difference between pictures (Photos etc.)
and grafics (Shapes & Drawings.

Guessing your problem is the latter, you are referred to Word´s Toolbar
"Drawing" where a number of functions for grouping & aligning are found with
updated, improved funcionality.

Ok I see that! Thanks. Any ideas why it's grayed out. I
have highlighted them all.

Pressing Ctrl while selecting the shapes will open for those commands. If
not the drawing canvas is dismissed the main part of commands is available.
To call for a temporarily presens of canvas, click Tools/New drawing. Else
the canvas is toogled from Tools/Options.
