Before you can apply grouping based on subjects or departments, your Project
Server administrator will need to create several enterprise custom Project
fields or outline codes containing the information that describes your
projects. Your Project Server administrator will need to create these
fields in the Enterprise Global file.
Second, your project managers will need to open every project, click
Project - Project Information, set a value for each custom enterprise
Project field, and then click OK. After settings these values in every
project, your project managers will need to republish each project by
clicking Collaborate - Publish - Project Plan.
Third, your Project Server administrator will need to add these new fields
and outline codes to existing Project Center views, or create new Project
Center views containing these custom fields and outline codes. Once this
has been done, users will be able to apply grouping on these custom fields
and outline codes in any Project Center view that contains this data. To do
the grouping, click the Filter, Group, Search tab and set one or more Group
By values. Hope this helps.
