Grouping Resources

I have two groups of resources, Customers and IT, each of which has several
individuals. I have defined which group each individual in on the Resource
Sheet. I would like to be able to show a Gantt Chart with only the tasks for
one of the groups(the customers want to see only which things they are
responsible for.)

I've tried the group by functions, but none give me a clean Gantt - it
splits off assignments where both groups are responsible simultaneously.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Hello Richard,
In the Filter drop down list, you must have a filter whose name is "Resource
group..."

Hi Richard,

One thing you may wish to try is creating a custom view and setting up a
filter to only show what you want. Here's an example... create a custom
field with IT, Customers, and Both as the 3 fixed values for that field.
Then after you've created a view showing what fields you want... add that
custom field to the far right. Create a filter to just show IT, or show IT
and Both (whichever you prefer) and associate that filter as the default for
that view. View > More Views > Select your view > Edit... button > and
associate your filter with it. That way when you go to your view the all
tasks for IT will be shown and none of the Customer tasks (unless they're
both assigned to the same task). If you have ANY questions as to how to do
