Grouping similar data

I am importing 10 different excel vendor files that did not have any data
validation applied when being maintained by the 10 different people.

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions how to group similar vendors
together. Ex Mayfield Inc and Mayfield Incorporated would be grouped as one,
The Excel Team and Excel Team would be another.

Any suggestions.
