Groups as a Resource

I am wondering if and how it is possible to be able to setup a group of
people and assign the group to tasks. As opposed to assigning one person per
task, is it possible to assign a group to a task?

If you are using Project Server 2007, you can create Team resources. Each
Team resource represents a specified group of people. When you assign a
Team resource to a task, the system automatically assigns all of the
resources in the team to the task. If you are using Project Server 2007,
refer to the following:

If you are not using Project Server 2007, there is no way to assign a group
of people to a task as a team. Hope this helps.
