Had to replace hard drive, now my product key won't work.

I had to get a new hard drive for my laptop, and everything got reinstalled.
My product key will not work for Microsoft Office and I don't know what to do.

Hello DL - I am having the same issue. I reformatted my PC. Entered the
product key given to me by Microsoft and no luck. It doesnt work. Do i need
to RE-download the Microsoft Office 2007 app. from the web?

Microsoft gave it to you. Then you had a Trial version of Office

I had been using it for a year before my PC blew up...i dont think it was a
trial. Their IS currently a trial on my computer now, however, - so do i
need to uninstall the trial, then download 07 from microsoft, before trying
to use the product key that i was given today?

Where did you obtain the previously functioning version from?
Presumably if MS gave you, today, a new key you must have provided proof of
purchase?
