Hammock tasks in MPS 2003 and 2007

Some of our Project Managers are using hammock tasks, however they are not
always being implemented properly. Is there a way to undo the link without
having to delete them in 2003?

Also, has their setup and use changed at all in MPS 2007?

How do they create the hammock tasks ? With Paste / Paste Special / Paste
Link ?
If so, you can undo the link with the sequence :
Edit / Links... / (select a link) Delete
