handout backgrounds

I'm having trouble inserting a picture to appear as a
handout background. I go to the handout master,
click "format", "handout background", then select the drop
down arrow to go to fill effects, select "select picture",
pick one, click "insert", "ok" and "apply". It doesn't
work - I can see it, but when I print my handouts nothing
shows???

Anne,

Black and white printer....yes?

Then you need to insert the picture not via the fill effects>picture method

But by "insert" "pictures" "from file" method.

Re-size the picture to your needs.....you may need to click the Draw menu,
and "send to back" to layer the image behind your content.
