handout function

When printing a number of slides using the handout
function (i.e. 6 slides per page), for an unknown reason
only the first slide for each page will print. For example
the first slide will print on page 1, the seventh slide
of page 2, thirteenth on page 3 and so on...

No other slides print, an empty space just exists where
they should go.

If anyone has heard or knows of a solution for this
problem it would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Excel does not have a handout function. Are you referring to PowerPoint?

If so, what version of PowerPoint are you using? What brand and model
printer? What operating system?

Please post back with the details.

Thanks.

Sorry, your quite right I meant PowerPoint.

Its PowerPoint 2001 for Mac OS9.

Tried various printers, such as HP LaserJet 8000n, Canon
CLC-3200 etc.

Hi again,

Try raising the preferred RAM setting using Finder's Get Info feature. Add
about 10000 to the number and try again.

Thanks for replying...

The minimum RAM setting was 11,000 and it was set to
15,000. I upped it to 25,000 but it didn't seem to have
any effect... I've tried it on several macs now, and
totally reinstalled office, but the problem still occurs.

Hi Again,

Please restore the minimum setting to 11,000. The setting I suggested to
change was the *preferred*, not the minimum setting.

Sorry for the confusion Jim. It was the preferred setting
that I did increase, which had no effect.

Hi Again,

It's time for some additional information. Does this problem happen with
every presentation? Does it happen only one printer? Did you go to the
printer manufacturer's web site to be sure you have the most up-to-date
version of the printer driver?
