I downloaded 2003 trial edition to my tablet pc running windows xp (last
night, 1/29/06). Have followed and refollowed the instructions for
installing the handwriting recog, but it won't show up in the office suite.
I even uninstalled the program, and redownloaded it, this time using complete
installation instead of typical installation. I have some functionality in
OneNote (which I downloaded at the same time) and I can use the red pen
markup feature in word, but not the straight handwriting recog in word or any
of the other programs.
When I go into change program, under shared office tools and try to click on
handwriting recognition, none of the options can be clicked on. Same thing
when I go to Language (under date and language in control panel). I can see
where handwriting is supposed to be, but I can't check the box.
Oddly enough, I do have speech recognition.
does the trial version not allow full handwriting recognition? I thought it
had full functionality for the next 60 days.
I hope someone can steer me straight, because this is driving me nuts.
Thanks
