Running Project Server 2007 and Project Professional 2007 all with SP1.
We are seeing some “hang†situations when a Project Manager follows the
steps below. Any idea what is happening or how to stop this from happening?
1. Project Manager opens Project Professional 2007 early in the morning and
leaves it open all day.
2. Project Manager receives an email notification that a Resource has
submitted work against a Task (we are not using Time Sheets). This could be
2 -3 hours after opening the schedule.
3. Project Manager clicks the “Update Project Progress†in Project
Professional 2007’s Collaborate Toolbar.
4. Project Professional 2007 begins the update process and then hangs with
the following dialog box message:
a. Applying Updates
b. Saving Project . . . .
c. Estimated time to complete in seconds
