HANGING, ENDLESSLY SCROLLING TASKS

When I open Outlook sometimes nothing responds to the mouse, I can't click on
the menus or anything. Other times it opens OK but then when I try to open a
task it hangs, I get the hourglass, and down in the task bar the tasks all
disappear and are replaced by an endless empty list of tasks where every
field is vacant except start date 'none' - and it seems to be endlessly
scrolling. Any ideas, please?

I have posted this problems several times, but have received no answers.
However, I've noticed this only happens when I click on the "To-Do List"
under the My Tasks. It seems it hangs up searching Outlook for flagged
messages.

If I stay with the Tasks (where Outlook displays only tasks, not flagged
messages) it runs fine.

It seems like the "To-Do List" is a great concept, but if Microsoft isn't
going to support it, they should get rid of it.

Oh dear I hadn't realised that there might be no answer here from someone who
understood what was wrong! For me, it's the Task list as a whole that seems
to cause the problem, though I can't be sure.
