Hanging while attempting to do anything realted to printing

Whenever I attempt to print, print preview, or even print to .pdf any of the
Office X products hang. Sometimes they just hang on opening. I have
attempted to install over, reinstall after emptying the trash, reinstall after
secure emptying the trash and nothing seems to work.

Also, after the install, I have tried to register the software and that doesn't
seem to work either. Although it worked when I first installed the software.
I would sure appreciate any help.

I am running OS X 10.3.5, and am running NetBarrier firewall.

hi,

Is this happening when you try to print using Text edit?
If no then try trashing the preferences in
User---Library---Preferences---Microsoft--com.microsoft.word.prefs.plist
