Hard drive won't boot--can I rescue my BCM contacts?

Hi,

The subject line says it all... My sad story is that I just got all
my contacts into BCM and it wasn't before long that my Windows
installation died. I hadn't backed up my BCM database, and now I'm
faced with trying to figure out how to get all those contacts back
without re-typing everything.

The good news is that I can read data from my old hard drive when I
hook it up to an external case. Is there some way to pull the BCM
contacts off the old hard drive and into my new installation?

My deepest gratitude to anyone who can help. And yes, from now on, I
will back up regularly, new hard drive or not.

Best wishes...

....Jay

The BCM database file (.mdf) is typically in this folder:
Xp: C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data
\Microsoft\Business Contact Manager
Vista: C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Business Contact
Manager

The databases are stored in the mdf files. Copy those files to the
same folder on your new hard disk.

BCM should attach them automatically. If not, you can attach them
manually to BCM's sql instance.
