Hard space in Power Point 2007

How do I enter a hard space in Power Point 2007? MS Word uses
CTRL+SHIFT+SPACEBAR to accomplish this. I searched the internet and found
where you can use ALT+0160 for Power Point 2003. This doesn't seem to work
in Power Point 2007. I can cut and paste from Word to Power Point but this
seems to be a difficult way to do it.

Alt+0160 works for me in 2007. Do you have SP1 of 2007 installed? Might make a difference.

Works for me too.

Are you holding down ALT while you type all four numbers and are you using
the numeric key pad not the normal numerals?

I did not have SP1 installed so I did install it. No joy. However John
Wilson asked if I was using the keypad, which I wasn't. I am using a Compaq
laptop so here's what I ended up doing. I would press and hold ALT+FN+0160.
The 0160 was entered using the keypad buried within the keyboard not the
numbers across the top of the key board. Clear as mud?

I was not using the key pad I was using the numbers across the top of the
key board. I am using a Compaq laptop so here's what I ended up doing. I
would press and hold ALT+FN+0160. The 0160 was entered using the keypad
buried within the keyboard not the numbers across the top of the key board.
Clear as mud? This worked. Thank you.

Glad it helped. You probably have a num lock key to temporarily lock the
keypad on too.
