I have a message that has been poping up after viewing my site online (in a
browser), it has not been published yet. I click on preview in browser and
check things on the site and make sure they are working and close the browser
and I get a message,
(Windows application error the instruction "0x7d66969a" Referenced memory at
"0x7d66969a" could not be read click OK to terminate or Cancel to debug.)

I only get this at the time I shut the preview in browser down, No other
time at all.
Anyone have an idea of why this is poping up and a fix????????????????

It sounds like an operating system error, where the OS is not allocating a
large enough buffer for the maximum string length permitted. Have you
uploaded all the latest Service Packs for your operating system?

How are you viewing a site online if it hasn't been published yet?

Which OS, and browser version??
If 2k or XP did you open the management console and check the application and system logs for more
information??
Does it do this with any web site or just yours??
If just yours, is it all pages or just one page??

It could be caused by any of these: malformed html, or javascript, or CSS.
If only one page, did you check it to see if the closing </body> and </html> tags are present at the
bottom of the page.?? If they are missing, it can cause the page to not "flush" itself from memory
when loaded.

Also, on a Windows 9x system this can be caused by a corrupt "Dial Up networking" file.

Hi Steve Like I said it is not published it is being built, this happens when
viewed in a browser, on all pages. XP FrontPage and Xp Pro op sys. Checked
log nothing wrong in there, just happens on this web site I think it could be
looking for something that I deleted from the site on one of the pages. One
time it did not do it when I shut it down after looking at one page it could
be Page specific. I will check into that. Thanks for the help Steve

Try clearing your temporary internet and history files.
Also, close all webs and browse to here using explorer:

C:\Documents and Settings\%Username%\Local Settings\Temp\FrontPageTempDir

if your webs are closed and the FrontPageTempDir folder contains any files or folders, Delete them.
With no webs open, the FrontPageTempDir should be completely empty.
