Has anyone converted a CaseMap database into Access?

Kate,

Your role is to know what a CaseMap is. Ours is to understand what a data
model is, and how to aplly a software model to make it all work.

Exactly what are you trying to do?

Not that I've ever heard of.

CaseMap is a specialised ready-made application for handling information
about cases and investigations, while Access is a general-purpose
relational database management system. So "converting" a CaseMap
database to Access would mean (1) building an Access application with
appropriate data structures and functionality to replicate whatever
CaseMap capabilities you need; and (2) exporting the data from CaseMap
and importing it into the Access database.

(1) will be rather difficult (especially since Access doesn't have good
built-in tools for indexing and searching free-text data) and it would
probably be cheaper to buy CaseMap.

Once (1) has been done, (2) will be comparatively simple.
