have never used outlook before and do not see the send button

From within the "New" e-mail you should see a "Send"
Button first located right below the File Tool Bar (You
may have more tool bars). It may or may not have the
word "Send" next to the button. The icon looks like a
small letter with three or four lines to the left of it
trying to visually display the action of the mail moving.
If you are in the "In Box", once again there should be
a "Send/Recieve" button. Make sure you have
the "Standard" toolbar selected. To see which toolbars
are selected go to View | Toolbars on the File toolbar.
