have one field populate when one field is filled in

I'm currently designing the issue tracking form, and I would like to know how
you can set the form up so that one field will autopopulate when one field is
filled in. For example lets say my issue dealt with password reset. I would
want to link the issue with another field that automatically input user into
the box. Any guidance with this question would be appreciated.

Hi anncalk,

1.Open in InfoPath from and Go to controls
2.Drag two text Boxes Filed 1 and Filed2
3.Go to filed 2 text box properties and set default value.
4.In addition, set condition format if filed1 is blank hide filed filed2.
5.Click ok and view the preview.
