Have Pub.2003 got email with attachment pub 2007 won;t open

I have Pub. 2003 and we received a email with an attchment of pub 2007. We
cannot open it. is there a fix or do we have to upgrade?

Publisher 2003 should open your 2007 file. Do you get a message? Are you saving
the file; then trying to open?
