Have to close Outlook to send....

I can't remember if I have asked this previously, but I
have to actually CLOSE my Outlook screen to send or
recieve messages. Then go back into it, and read my
messages.
It all works OK, but it's just a pain.

What settings to I change so they recieve, and can be
viewed, whilst the Outlook window is still open.

I have 2002 version if that helps.

You need to change some settings. Look at your options in Tools > Options > Mail Setup > Send/Receive.
