We have created an Outlook form for composing our emails but we have noted a
side-effect when these emails are received. The preview pane says Outlook
cannot show the message as it has active content and to double-click to open
it instead which works.
My question is, why does our form do this? Is it possible to make it act
like a normal email message when received?
Secondly, we have also added an additional field in our form for the user to
enter an email category. When the message is sent, the form simply adds
this category information to the beginning of the message body.
The problem we are seeing though is when there are attachments, the
attachment names are also appearing in the message body and we'd like to
stop it if we can as it sometimes appears right in the middle of the
category information we wanted to begin the message body with as follows:
<<file1.doc>>Catego<<file2.doc>>ry: Personnel
<<file2.doc>>
when we'd rather have it thus and get rid of the attachment names
altogether:
Category: Personnel
I'm hoping someone might know what causes this so we can turn it off. I
have received the occassional email from the Internet with the same symptoms
so others look like they are experiencing the same thing.
