having outlook (2002) check for mail by itself

How do i make outlook search for mail itself?? i have to press the
send/receive button everytime i need to check for mail. Doesn't it do this
itself like Outlook express??

Have you gone into Send/Receive Settings and checked the box to check for new
mail every XX minutes? If you do this, it will also check for new mail
automatically when you start Outlook.

Pretty sad it was that simple, I searched all over the place but couldn't
find that switch!!!
