I have MS Project 2002 standard installed on my machine
(Windows 2000 + SP4). When I try to open a project thats
stored in an oracle database most of the time I get an
error. The funny thing is that sometimes it works fine and
the actual error depends on how I try to open the project.
If I go to the File menu and then pick up the project from
the recently opened list then, after I enter the password
for the odbc connection I get the error
[Microsoft][ODBC Driver for Oracle][Oracle]
If I go to File->Open and then click on the ODBC button
and pick up the project from the Machine Data Source, I
get the error (after entering the password)
[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager][Data source name not
found and no default driver specified]
If I keep trying, eventually (after about 10-15 tries) it
works and the project comes up.
I was wondering if anyone knows of a fix to this problem.
Thanks in advance.
