Having problems with latest update

After I installed the latest update on 04/12/06, all MS office programs crash
when trying to save in a different directory other than 'My Document'-the
default folder. I cannot open any files that is in another dircetory other
than the fore-mention folder.I can only access folder if I use 'My Computer'.
Windows 'Explorer' only shows the directory , but you cannot access any
folders from there.

IE will crash if you type in a URL inthe address field. I can access other
URLs in the
'My Favorite' drop-down menu Everything was working perfectly until I
installed this update.

A lot of people find that removing kb908531 fixes this. it was in the last
barch of updates from MS

I've removed these files and am still having the same problem as the original
poster. Any other suggestions?
